Entire staff is kind and gracious and attentive! Every single person! And the dr is knowledgeable and upfront, giving you all the information and patiently explaining what each test is for etc. My little doggy has been so sick and wasnt getting the care she needed at our last place. Immediately felt more cared for and went home with meds and other things to try to help our girl. Can't recommend them enough! Thank you to all who helped us, I'm feeling hopeful for the first time in months and am eternally grateful to this clinic for the help! Also I should add that calling for an appt was quick(not so with last vet) and they were so punctual(last vet waited at least an hour each time to even be taken to a room). At this place we went right back. Theyre amazing!

Sundae B.Best team ever!! I love Calistoga Pet Clinic! Dr. Franquelin and his team are amazing! They are kind, patient, caring, and attentive. I have two tortoiseshell cats and one of them will occasionally allow someone else to touch them and the other won't at all. Most often she needs to be sedated but Doc and his team always try to move forward without sedation before going that route. They are set up for us with Feliway in a room when we arrive so we can quickly go in, hoping to decrease stress. They answer all of my questions (I always come with a list!), give me updates whether I'm in the room waiting or back at home. They are all very knowledgeable and communicate well as a team. I now live a bit farther away but will continue to take my cats to CPC. Thank you, Dr. Franquelin and your wonderful team!!
Jenny W.Where do I begin? I suppose gratitude and love are the words to best describe how I feel about Dr. Franquelin, Maggie, Caitlyn and the entire staff at Calistoga Pet Clinic. My almost 14 year old black lab, Mr. Buster Brown, had to have an emergency splenectomy last Friday evening. Buster has been going to Calistoga Pet Clinic since he was 8 weeks old and Dr. Franquelin always refers to him as "our boy". Buster is a very stoic (extremely tough) boy, however even though he ate his dinner on Friday evening, I could tell something was wrong with him. He was obviously in pain and had to be coerced to eat dinner. I called Calistoga Pet Clinic at 5 pm and described his condition. They close at 5:30 pm for the weekend, and I live in Napa. They told me to bring him in immediately and Dr. Franquelin would wait for us. Buster had a fever, and Dr. Franquelin did a physical exam and ultrasound. Within 15 minutes of our arrival, he had diagnosed Buster with a mass on his spleen. He compassionately explained that Buster would have to have emergency surgery or he would not make it through the night. He went over all possible risks. I trust Dr. Franquelin implicitly and asked him for his advice. We decided on the surgery and Dr. Franquelin, Maggie, and Caitlyn stayed late on a Friday night to do the surgery. Buster made it through the surgery with very little complications and came home with me that night. Dr. Franquelin reached out to me via text multiple times in to the wee morning and then all weekend checking on Buster. It is Tuesday morning, 3 days after his major surgery, and he is 100% back to his old self. He recovered amazingly well. Buster would not be here right now if weren't for the amazing, compassionate, and extremely timely reactions and actions from the staff at Calistoga Pet Clinic. I am endlessly grateful! I could not recommend Calistoga Pet Clinic more.
Erin O.Dr. Franquelin and his staff are professional, caring, knowledgeable and up beat. Their communication is amazing, with follow up emails after each appointment. Dr. Franquelin, in a very short period of analysis knew what my beautiful white Sheppard's 'issues' were and are in treatment. In a very short period of time, after two years of suffering was better. I was told from my prior vet in St. Helena that there was nothing he could do for her. The surgery he performed was not necessary. I am not upset but rather grateful that my pets are now a part of the Calistoga pet clinic. It is easy to see they are in competent hands, they care and love their job.
Mara P.I only had the opportunity to know Dr. Franqelin for 6 months before our JJ passed. I wish I would have found him sooner. JJ was 15 and the last six months of his life Dr. Franqelin cared for him. He and his staff are very caring and supportive and helped us through our difficult time. We found out that JJ had lymphoma a short time before he passed and the staff did everything they could to save our little guy. I would recommend this clinic highly for someone that wants the best for their pet. If I ever get another dog I will definitely be back.
Linda S.Dr. Franquelin and his staff are the best! They are always able to fit you in, and the techs handle my former feral cats with the utmost care and knowledge. Pricing is reasonable compared to most other vets in the Valley, making it well worth the drive from Napa.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years, Dr Franquelin is the most caring and compassionate vet I have had, the staff is also very kind, considerate, and loving towards pets. I moved to Sacramento and still drive to Calistoga to have my pets cared for, highly recommend!
